The Son of God who Became a Seed

In the beginning of days, God created a garden that contained all the richness and fullness of His provision.  It was to be where His perfection would thrive alongside His created.  In it, He placed a tree that was the Tree of Life and another called the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

The Tree of Life was to provide for life everlasting, so man could walk with God all his days; when eaten from the Son of God, Jesus Christ would become known.  The Tree of the knowledge of good and evil, contained death – and would be the poison that would infect all of man and condemn him to die – the poison was sin.  Sin was the embodiment of rebellion against God; when eaten, the Son of Perdition – who is Satan, would become known.

The day approached that was to change everything with one act, this very event would come to be known as the Fall.  For in this day, Man listened to a lie, and chose against what God had counseled and warned when they ate fruit from the forbidden tree.  Man was no longer able to stay in the garden.  For the garden was created for a world without sin and death to which they were contaminated.   And so, God put forth His rescue mission.  The Tree of Life, was not destroyed, but was to be made manifest in the world as He willingly left His glory to come as its Seed to redeem us from our peril.  John 15.

A seed must first be planted into the ground to die – in its form as seed, so it may become – changed into a sprout that will grow into a plant full of life.  To remain a seed, nothing would come of it.

So simple that God has created for all to see a picture for us to grasp His Son, who is The Seed in His works in nature.  The Tree of Life, humbled Himself to be the Seed that was needed to come to the fallen world, to be planted into the earth, to die so new and everlasting Life can be offered, as was God’s plan from the beginning.  Magnificently beautiful!

We too, become His seeds to follow as He – and die (to self) so we may become His New Creations into everlasting life.

But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.  If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honorJohn 12:23-28

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.  And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:9-11
