The Day is fast approaching and those who await it know how close it is, and are those who would never deny its certainty – of it coming in this generation. The Day is in reference to the gathering of the Saints of God, His Bride – otherwise known as the rapture and known in the scriptures as the blessed hope; Titus 2:11-14. It is a day that is counted noteworthy within Christianity whether it be pre, mid or post tribulation – where we give serious respect and one we look forward to.
On the other hand, this day is not considered at all, or in very vague terms at best by the vast majority within Christendom. In fact, it is scoffed at which is predicted in the scriptures; 2 Peter 3:2-4. In this group at any thought of this day, there is a sense of dread in the Lord coming for them as they reason that they have so much they want to do and experience yet.
When this day arrives (I believe) there will be an worldwide event surrounding it so that the absence of the Bride of the Church may be easily explained away. And life on earth will never be the same because it will be in full control of the evil one, and God’s wrath will begin to be poured out upon it; 1 Thess 2:1-12
There will be a good number of souls who will have biblical knowledge, who have been taught, grew up in the things of Christianity and perhaps even those who were leaders of churches and groups – who will nevertheless remain – because they were practicing a false Christianity, or none at all. Out of this group, some will choose to live for God, because of what they will see and understand in what has happened (the rapture of the Saints), and will repent of their pride, arrogance (rebellion), ignorance and complacency against God – and be a people who if they endure until the end, obtain the crown of Life. They will be faced with great persecution, for anyone who has faith in Jesus Christ – will be counted as the enemy to the world. There will be no more games to be had in the things of God (like people play today) as anyone who will live for God basically will assume a life of persecution at best and to a great majority – a death sentence; Rev 20:4. For to not take the mark of the beast means the inability to partake in the privileges it will allow for, which will be the basic needs for life; Rev 13:16-18.
The satanic kingdom that will attempt to establish itself here on earth and will seek to annihilate mankind – as God has created him by putting into effect the mark of the beast (system), which will be a technology that will alter the human DNA structure, perhaps even inserting satanic DNA in its place. The outcome will mean that anyone who will take this mark will no longer be redeemable by God. This mark will not be forced upon anyone, but will be taken by one’s own choice, and upon this choice their fate will be sealed; Rev 14:9-13.
Some will read this (if they even make it through its entirety!) and just roll their eyes and dismiss it. Some will be offended by it because it is not how they believe the end times to be, and will dismiss it, but for others I hope it will be the start of giving some very serious thought to their own lives and faith.
I believe that it is the desire of God to choose today – in the age of His grace that He has given through His Son for the day of our Salvation. He desires that none should perish but have everlasting life – and has given us ample time to choose for ourselves escape from His wrath against sin. I also believe that it is imperative that we be sober – to those who are His followers, in the understanding of what is upon us now, for we are not just in the last days, we are in the last seconds. God also calls out to all (who profess to be His sons and daughters) to take the time now to examine our lives and make certain they are approved and counted worthy in His eyes; 2 Cor 13:5.
Maybe what I have written here could be more detailed and scripture based and could perhaps even be considered an inaccurate accounting and for this I ask for your grace. May I express that it is my intent really, to stir up and encourage some who are in need of such, for the furthering in study of the scriptures -because of the times we live today. That we make sure our lives are in line with regard to all that God calls us and in this that we may become bolder in our walk and proclaiming of Jesus Christ and His Gospel to those who are around us. Amen.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17
